Would'nt let me post this in the other section of the forum but ti would be funny if we did'nt have this here somewhere considering hehe.

Credits for this go to http://uwc3mod.com/, Smokey and Left Nut.

Starting the demo:

-While ingame bring up your console by pressing pressing the ` key. Then type record demoname to begin the demo.

-Once you have the demo running type status 3 times. This will create a larger block of id info making it easier to locate the steam id's within the demo. Use sb_status instead of status if your a member of the steamban network and want to submit the demo to them. The reason for this is that it makes it nearly impossible to change the id's within the demo without them knowing which ofcourse helps protect the average player.

-When your done recording type stop in the console.

Things to be aware of while creating the demo:

-Hitting tab during the demo will show up as a box blocking what ever area your viewing for the duration that your tabbed.

-I recomend typing in voice_enable 0 before starting any demo to remove any mic action to better hear what the player your demoing might hear ie footsteps as they may be playing without mics.

-If using the admin esp program especially if the demo might be a bit iffy only use it for the second half of the demo as it interferes with the crosshair view and can actually make it harder to tell if someone is tracking in some instances. By splitting it up like that it will help make the demo more conclusive. Also the steambans network prefers all demos to not have this enabled at all.

Viewing the demo:

-If you downloaded the demo from somewhere you will first need to move it to your C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\<Insert Steam Name Here>\counter-strike\cstrike folder.

-Start up Counterstrike and bring down the console. Then type in either playdemo name or viewdemo name.

-Playdemo will just run the demo exactly how it was recorded.

-Viewdemo allows for fast-forwarding, rewinding, pausing Speed up and Slow motion

Uploading the demo:

-You should first compress your .dem file using what ever program your site recomends for ease of up/downloading. You will find this file in your C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\<Insert Steam Name Here>\counter-strike\cstrike folder.

-Add what ever server specific information you may have here for the uploading process.
